One way to save the planet, and 70 tips

There was a time when I loved articles like this, supplied by greenmatch.co.uk. It's titled 70 Ways To Save the Planet. But less so now, not because I thing the planet needs less saving, but because I think that what we really need to do is save ourselves.

As I lay out in my second book, "Sustainable You," focusing on a symptom won't necessarily resolve the cause.

Over the past 10 years or so, I have involved myself in two discussions professionally: causes and remedies of obesity, and saving the planet from global climate change.

As you know, I've shifted my focus from the part of sustainability that many think of as green to the part that addresses obesity and food addiction. But I still have great fondness and concern for those topics.

When I was actively pursuing them, I found no greater source, or concentration of information, than at the annual Building Energy show put on by the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association.


The green oil change

Taxonomy upgrade extras: 

Honestly, I never heard of a "green" oil change. But my pals over at Mike's Automotive in Somerville say they're offering one now, and I believe them.

Yes, I could be falling for a heinous act of greenwashing, but I've been relying on this business for 17 years, and if they're lyin', I'm a complete fool and you probably would have to question anything I say. Nevertheless, I trust them.
